19th Aug 2024 country celebrated Rakshbandan .we at Yuvajyothi observed this day with the staff at Yuvajyothi home. The celebration begain with a prayer invoking God’s blessing and protection and strengthening the sisterly brotherly bond of unit .The significance of this day was explain to the children after which the Aarti was done and individually rakhi was tied symbolising our bond of relationship. The ceremony ended with a fellowship lunch.
On the day of rakshbandhan19th Aug, the table was set with plates containing rakhi, plate containing coconuts and Indian sweets .The celebration hall was well decorated with flowers .All the children squatted on the carpet. All the staff was dress in traditional dress. The event begain with prayers and the reading from the scriptures emphasising the importance of girl child and her protection. Prayers was said for brother sister relationship .A staff members highlighted the significance of Rakshbandan by giving a brief history of Rakshbandan. All the staff members in a semi-circle gather round the children and made aarti to each child placing a red tilak with a grain of rice placing a white handkerchief over for head with a coconut in the palm .They tied rakhi to the child who is now their brother and gladden their relationship by feeding them a piece of Indian sweet and the now sister received blessing and wishes from her brother bound by this festival of Rakshbandan. There was music and dance related to the festival.
The Rakshbandan celebration at Yuvajyothi was a resounding success, bringing together members in a festive and meaningful way. Through well-organized activities and engaging cultural programs, The smile were brought upon the faces.
