Objective:
To inform parents about the facilities provided by the ICID organization and to discuss important topics concerning the education and welfare of the children residing in the hostel.

Event Description:
On 28th September 2024, a parent/guardian meeting was held at Yuvajyothi Hostel, attended by a total of 25 parents/guardian . The meeting began with a brief introduction by the representatives from ICID, who provided insights into the various services and support offered to the children.

The following key points were discussed during the meeting:

  • Education: Overview of the curriculum and educational activities designed to enhance the children’s learning experience.
  • Health: Information regarding health services available, including regular health check-ups and nutrition advice for the children.
  • Hostel Rules: Explanation of the rules and guidelines that govern the hostel environment to ensure safety and discipline.
  • Communication Protocol: Guidance on the process of writing letters when children are taken home and when they return to the hostel, emphasizing the importance of communication.
  • Behavioural Expectations: Discussion on the expected behaviour of the children and how parents can support positive behaviour at home.
  • Future Opportunities: Conversations regarding the future prospects for the children, including educational and vocational paths.

Additionally, it was highlighted that a student from Yuvajyothi, participated in an inter-school elocution competition, which demonstrated the talents of the children in the hostel.

The meeting concluded with an interactive Q&A session, allowing parents to express their concerns and suggestions. The overall feedback was positive, and parents/guardian appreciated the efforts made by the ICID organization in fostering a nurturing environment for their children.
