Event Description:
The free medical camp held at Deepshikha Center was attended by 112 community members. Services included blood pressure (BP), electrocardiogram (ECG) checks, fever and pain assessments, and evaluations for menstrual irregularities. Additionally, eye and bone check-ups were conducted, and patients experiencing general weakness were given appropriate advice and medication.
Free medicines were distributed on-site to those in need, and 4 individuals with more serious conditions were referred to specialized medical care for further treatment. The event was organized efficiently with the support of nurses, pharmacists, and fieldwork students from Orange City College. Special guests, Fr. Praveen Montheiro (Director of ICID) and Fr. Ephraim Kulu (Social Worker), were present to oversee the event’s success and interact with the attendees.
